Handmade Poster Design
I wanted to create a poster and show deck for the original rock musical I wrote called “The Complete Picture”. The target audience is the theatre community, tourists, anyone donor-conceived, adopted, or NPE, anyone who has been affected by fertility issues, anyone with an interest in geneology.
“A woman’s search to uncover her past in order to complete her identity” is the premise of the show. The protagonist is a photographer, so that detail and the premise factored into my design idea.
The visual concept was 35mm film in the shape of a dna HELIX. I wanted the poster to evoke nostaliga, chaos, and curiosity. Below is the process of creating this object for the poster, as well as the final design. Below that is the show deck I created to pitch this project to producers/investors.
